পররাষ্ট্র উপদেষ্টা তৌহিদ হোসেন বলেছেন, ভারতীয় মিডিয়া বিশ্বব্যাপী বাংলাদেশের বিরুদ্ধে বিভ্রান্তিকর তথ্য ছড়িয়ে নেতিবাচক প্রচার চালাচ্ছে। এ বিষয়ে দেশবাসীকে সতর্ক থাকতে হবে।
আজ সোমবার রাজধানীর পল্টন টাওয়ারে ইকোনমিক রিপোর্টার্স ফোরাম (ইআরএফ) কার্যালয়ে আয়োজিত এক কর্মশালা ও মতবিনিময় সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তৃতায় পররাষ্ট্র উপদেষ্টা তৌহিদ হোসেন বলেছেন, ভারতীয় মিডিয়া বিশ্বব্যাপী বাংলাদেশের বিরুদ্ধে বিভ্রান্তিকর তথ্য ছড়িয়ে নেতিবাচক প্রচার চালাচ্ছে। এ বিষয়ে দেশবাসীকে সতর্ক থাকতে হবে।
তিনি আরও বলেন, “এলডিসি গ্র্যাজুয়েশন পেছানোর পক্ষে আমরা নই। এটি অনেক আগেই জানা ছিল, কিন্তু ব্যবসায়ীরা তেমন কোনো প্রস্তুতি নেয়নি। ২০২৬ সালের মধ্যেই আমরা এলডিসি থেকে উত্তরণ ঘটাব, পেছানোর কোনো সুযোগ নেই।”
বর্তমান অর্থনৈতিক পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে তিনি বলেন, “দেশে এখন অর্থ সংকট চলছে, তাই রাজস্ব আয় বাড়াতে হবে। বাংলাদেশের ট্যাক্স-জিডিপি অনুপাত এখনো লজ্জাজনক অবস্থায় রয়েছে। এখান থেকে উত্তরণের জন্য কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ নিতে হবে।” তিনি আরও জানান, “বর্তমান অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকার দেশের কল্যাণে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনতে সম্পূর্ণভাবে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ।”
পররাষ্ট্র উপদেষ্টা দেশের তুলা খাতের উন্নয়নের ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করে বলেছেন, সরকার এ খাতের উন্নয়নে নীতি সহায়তা প্রদান করবে। তিনি জানান, আগামী দুই মাসের মধ্যে তুলা খাতের বিকাশে সরকার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সিদ্ধান্ত নেবে। এর মধ্যে তুলাকে কৃষিপণ্য হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া এবং কৃষকদের স্বল্প সুদে ঋণ সুবিধা নিশ্চিত করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে।
