চলচ্চিত্র ও প্রকাশনা অধিদপ্তর (ডিএফপি)-এর প্রকাশনাসমূহের পাঠকচাহিদা যাচাই ও মানোন্নয়ন বিষয়ক একটি গবেষণাপত্রের মোড়ক উন্মোচন করেছেন তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার উপদেষ্টা মো. মাহফুজ আলম। শনিবার সচিবালয়ে তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রণালয়ের সভাকক্ষে এ আয়োজন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানে উপদেষ্টা বলেন, ডিএফপি প্রতিষ্ঠার পর থেকে (১৯৭৬ সাল) এ পর্যন্ত প্রকাশিত প্রতিটি প্রকাশনা সংরক্ষণের উদ্যোগ নিতে হবে। বর্তমানে সংগ্রহে অনুপস্থিত প্রকাশনাগুলো দ্রুত সংগ্রহ করে সংরক্ষণে রাখার নির্দেশ দেন তিনি। একইসঙ্গে ডিএফপির প্রকাশনার মান উন্নয়নে সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাদের আরও আন্তরিকভাবে কাজ করার আহ্বান জানান।
এসময় তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব মাহবুবা ফারজানা, ডিএফপির মহাপরিচালক খালেদা বেগমসহ মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধীন দপ্তর ও সংস্থার প্রধানরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
